  • “Back yesterday from three nights in the Peak District. We had the perfect location staying at The Homestead Holiday Cottage, Peak District Alstonefield. The cottage was well equipped with a hot tub and decking so we could sit and enjoy the wonderful views of the countryside and our ponies in the field. The views from the cottage (with or without ponies) was stunning. There was plenty of riding out to explore as well as wild swimming and star gazing from the hot tub to be had. We even rode to a really nice farm shop for cake and had an ice cream on the way back! On the last night we had an adventure on foot to a pub for great food and drink. And the peaceful surroundings meant we all felt really relaxed and content. ”

  • “If this place is available and you can go here…GO!! Sarah’s place was possibly one of the best airbnbs me, my partner and our dog have stayed in. The pictures don’t do it justice – absolutely spotless, cosy and homely, and the views are spectacular. We stayed for 4 nights, but could have stayed for weeks. If you are looking for a peaceful base to explore the Peak District, then this is the place to stay. Fantastic walks, cute little villages within driving distance, and just a brilliant place to unwind and relax. Meeting both Sarah and Daniel, both very friendly and helpful with recommendations (the chocolate shop in Leek is an absolute must!). Can’t recommend this place highly enough – would love to return and a strong 10/10”

The hot tub is perfect as the sun goes down behind the hills. Shower and bed quality – the test for any rental – outstanding. Cosy duvets and a fabulous wet room with super powerful shower. 5 star! I highly recommend.”
